SUNRISE LODGE

Sunrise Lodge is a four-season family establishment located on the west shore of scenic Lac Vieux Desert. Sunrise has been owned and managed by the Mendam family for over 50 years and is well known for its friendly and professional staff and superior accommodations.

The 24 cottages are equipped to accommodate various size groups ranging from small family gatherings to large corporate retreats. The perfectly manicured grounds include a beach with a gazebo overlooking the lake, tennis and basketball courts, a miniature golf course, a baseball diamond, a well-equipped playground area, and nature trails that wind through one-hundred-year-old white pine forests. All the cottages offer secure Wi-Fi connections, cable television, and a fully equipped kitchen. Many of the cottages have fireplaces and several are handicapped accessible.

Sunrise is also one of the few lodges left in Northern Wisconsin that offers the American Plan, which provides its guests with a full complement of meals and worry-free dining throughout their stay. Their breakfast menu, including the “chef’s morning surprise,” is always a tasty way to begin the day!

As a family-friendly lodge, Sunrise’s staff has carefully designed a range of activities to entertain guests of all ages. More than 20 separate activities are offered weekly and include culinary events, arts and crafts activities, and folklore and nature programs.

Lac Vieux Desert, which Sunrise overlooks, is a 4,200-acre, Michigan-Wisconsin boundary lake noted for its superior walleye, northern pike, perch, and crappie fishing. Over the years it has produced several world-record silver and tiger musky catches and thus has become a mecca for serious anglers.

All of our guests who have stayed at Sunrise Lodge have thoroughly enjoyed their stay and have complimented the entire staff for its personal and superior service. We highly recommend that you consider staying at Sunrise during your next visit. More information on Sunrise can be found here.
