BENT'S CAMP

The Bent's Camp entrance sign, trees, rocks, road

Nestled on the southern shore of Mamie Lake, Bent’s Camp is the oldest continuously operating lodge in Vilas County. Now celebrating the 123rd anniversary of its founding, this landmark lodge has grown to include 11 cabins, a main lodge housing one of the area’s finest restaurants, a gift shop, a well-stocked bait and tackle shop, a boat-landing, and a beautiful beach area.

The current owners, Craig and Amy Kusick (shown on the right), have crafted unique service offerings that go far beyond the excellent accommodations and dining experience featured at the resort.

Their Northwoodstock gathering in August features several of the Midwest’s top musical groups and has been cited as one of the Northwoods’ most popular summer events by travel and leisure publications.

The dining area in the lodge overlooks Mamie Lake, offering guests magnificent views of the Cisco Chain of Lakes and the surrounding forests. The well stocked bar offers a wide selection of Midwest wines and beers served in a warm, rustic environment overlooking the lake. Their ribeye steaks are known as the best in the area!

During the summer, the popular Friday night fish-fry draws a small navy of boaters from up and down the Cisco Chain to the docks at the lodge, where diners are served outdoors in an area shaded by 100-year old white pines.
